Survivors include his wife, Kattie, two precious sons, Mark Alvin (Geneva) Blankenship and Robert Matthew Blankenship, five grandchildren; Morgan Andrew Davis, Petra Jade Blankenship, Autumn Rose Blankenship, Destiny Phipps, and Paeton Matthew Blankenship, a sister, Sarah (Roby) Deel, a brother, Freddie Lee Blankenship, three sisters-in-law, Jerrell Coleman, Alma OBrien, and Patty Owens, and a special brother-in-law, Curtis (Gail) Deel and he leaves numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
